If you’ve been following along, you probably notice that we take our 5-year old twin girls to state parks a lot.
At Ano Nuevo, the round trip from the parking lot to the nearest elephant seal resting ground is about 3 miles (5 Km). Our little girls hiked the whole trail in the sand bare footed. After admiring the elephant seals, we went down to the beach where lots of sea birds were hanging out. It’s another 2-mile long (over 3 Km) walk. Twins handled it with ease.
As I am reflecting on the overall milage, it is indeed at a level even some grown-up’s find difficult to tackle on a weekly basis. No wonder we have a hard time finding another family with kids around the same age for a playdate in a state park nearby.
Our little girls rock!!
